- What is the DMZ?
The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is an area of land encompassing a 4-kilometer-wide strip of land straddling the 155-mile long Military Demarcation Line (MDL).
Each Korean country occupies and controls one-half of the DMZ, or 2-kilometers each.
The opposing sides agreed under the Armistice Agreement not to enter the territory, air space or contiguous waters under control of the other.

- What is the JSA?
The Joint Security Area, or JSA, is also commonly known as the village of Panmunjeom or “Truce Village.” It is the only portion of the Korean DMZ where North and South Korean forces stand face-to-face.
It lies 50Km north of Seoul along the tongilro. It is the location where the Armistice Agreement was signed on July 27, 1953.
Presently, Panmunjeom is the location where official talks between South and North take place. You can feel the tragedy of the divided land and the unhealed scar of internecine war.

3) Dress Code: You cannot wear sweat pants, short pants & skirt, sandals & slipper, sleeveless tops, ripped jeans, etc.
